Here's more on the Cheney/Bush administration cutting off our national security's nose to spite its face, to coin an awkward phrase. Buzzflash has a better phrase for it: treason. I hope that their piece draws more attention to this issue. (On edit: thank you, Krugman!) Does everyone feel safer now? Also, here's a link to the Guardian piece that Buzzflash mentions, about the "shadow CIA" that sought to find/create justification for war. Buzzflash didn't link to this piece in their editorial although I am going to write and suggest that they do. It deserves wider airing.
